‘One of a Kinds’

I have always had an appreciation for art. In my younger years I was always taking pictures at the high school I attended. By my senior year I was involved in various art projects involving the year book and classes. Now later in life looking back that is what led me to tie dyeing and it all just started coming together.

I currently live in the Green Bay area but work and offer up my services mainly in central WI. I am in the process of moving to the area I grew up in so many years ago. In the summers if you were to see me, you would see me with my camera in hand at various VFW events or in one of the many parks I so love in and around Green Bay. That ‘area’ has expanded and created many opportunities for me.

I started taking classes in Digital Media but later in Photography at NWTC in Green Bay. I started back up in school back in 2018. While still going to school I was still volunteering for many veteran organizations and also in the community. A little over two years ago I took a class learning tie dyeing. My interests grew and found it was just a good way to use creativity and learn from others.

Now I give classes to groups, make things that I offer up for sale. This summer I am looking forward to offering classes once a month over a two day period where we create tie dyes together and also go over the rinsing process the following day.

I have advanced my knowledge all the while still learning and doing a lot of things with reverse dyeing, ice dyeing along with gravity pulls. I have found it interesting and fun. I have also found when you create things using various techniques you truly create ‘one of a kinds’.
